About

About Barrie Christmas Lights

A direct booking line for one vetted, insured holiday lighting installer working across Barrie, Innisfil, Bradford, Orillia and Springwater.

Barrie Christmas Lights is a booking line. It is not a lighting company and does not claim to be one. It exists so that a Barrie homeowner, landlord, condo board or business that wants its lights up, or wants permanent lighting fitted, gets to one vetted, insured local installer quickly, instead of filling in forms and fielding calls from strangers.

In practice that means the work is done by a holiday lighting installer who carries liability insurance and WSIB coverage, works to Ontario's fall protection rules, uses certified outdoor-rated LED on GFCI-protected outlets, quotes in writing after looking at the house, and is accountable for the job. Your details are not sold to a list and you are not put into an auction.

The site stays in its lane: seasonal Christmas light installation, permanent soffit lighting, tree and landscape lighting, January takedown and storage, and commercial holiday lighting. It does not do electrical wiring, new outlets or panel work, which are for a licensed electrical contractor, and it does not sell inflatables or yard displays.

The local facts on the site were checked against the sources they cite: Environment Canada's climate normals for Barrie, the Ontario Energy Board's electricity prices, Alectra's and the Town of Innisfil's own descriptions of who distributes power where, the Electrical Safety Authority's and Health Canada's holiday lighting guidance, the Ontario fall protection regulation, and the City of Barrie's event page. Where something is for someone else to decide, such as a condo board's rules or what your utility charges for delivery, the site says so rather than guessing.

Some jobs are declined: roofs that cannot be worked safely, trees tangled in power lines, and lights that are not certified or not rated for outdoor use.

How this works

When you call 705-535-6101 or send the form, your details go directly to the holiday lighting installer covering Barrie, not to a list and not to a call centre. Calls go to voicemail when the crew is on a roof, which from late October to mid-December is most of the day, and the message and your number reach them at once by text and email. Expect a call back the same day or the next working day. The next step is a quick look at the house or a request for photos of each side, the eaves and the outdoor outlets; the written quote follows, naming each run, the lights, the install window and what happens in January, so there is nothing to argue about on the day.

What we won't do

  • Publish reviews we didn't earn. When we have them, they'll be real ones with names.
  • Quote a firm price before someone has seen the job.
  • Send anyone into your property who we would not have in our own.

Request a Quote

Call 705-535-6101 or send the form and we will get back to you within one business day.

By submitting this form, you agree to be contacted by phone, text, or email about your request. You can opt out at any time. Your details go only to the one local holiday lighting installer who handles your job — nobody else.
